Editorial Policy
LockPact's guides and comparisons are written by LockPact, the company that makes the LockPact app. This page explains how we check what we publish, and what we do when we get something wrong.
Who publishes this site
LockPact is published by Rotate LLC. We make a screen time app for iPhone, and it appears in our own comparisons and roundups. We say so at the top of any listicle or comparison where it appears. We list other apps where they're the better fit for a reader, and our comparison posts say when a competitor is the better pick.
How we verify claims
- Menu paths and Settings steps are checked against Apple's iPhone User Guide on the day we write or update the page, and the page's Sources box lists what we used. Where we can't confirm a menu label or a behavior, we say so instead of guessing.
- Prices and free tiers come from each app's own pricing page or its App Store listing, with the date we checked. Listings sometimes show several price points for one subscription, and we say so instead of picking one.
- Competitor features come from the competitor's own site or App Store listing. If we can't confirm something, we leave it out or say we couldn't confirm it.
- Bypass. The owner of an iPhone can always turn off Screen Time access in Settings, and no app can prevent that. We describe locks as harder to bypass, never impossible, and we don't publish steps meant to help someone get around another person's controls.
How often we re-check
We re-check prices, menu paths and competitor claims at least every 90 days, and sooner when Apple ships a new iOS release. When a page changes in a way that matters to a reader, we update its "Updated" date. Small link or wording edits don't change the date.
Sources
Each guide that makes factual claims about Apple's settings or other products lists its sources in a "How we tested this" box at the end of the article, linking to support.apple.com and to each pricing page we used.
Corrections
If something here is wrong or out of date, email support@lockpact.app with the page and what's wrong. We check it and fix confirmed errors, and we update the page's date when the fix changes what a reader should do.
