How to Block TikTok on iPhone (3 Ways, iOS 27)

TikTok how-to Screen Time iPhone

To block TikTok on iPhone, set a Screen Time limit on the category it sits in and block tiktok.com under Apps & Websites on iOS 27. TikTok also has its own daily screen time limit in the app. All three are free and all three can be undone by you, so this guide also covers the partner-held version with LockPact, a free-to-use app where a partner approves unlocks.

How do you block TikTok on iPhone with Screen Time?

To block TikTok with Screen Time on iOS 27, find its category under Time Allowances, set a limit or schedule for that category, and add tiktok.com to Apps & Websites. Open Settings, tap Screen Time, tap Time Allowances, then Manage Categories, and tap a category to see whether TikTok is in it before you set the limit.

  1. Open Settings → Screen Time → Time Allowances → Manage Categories.
  2. Tap a category and check whether TikTok is listed.
  3. Set that category’s allowance, or add it to a window in Screen Time Schedule.
  4. For the website, open Settings → Screen Time → Apps & Websites, tap the add button, and enter tiktok.com.

On iOS 26 and earlier, use Settings → Screen Time → App Limits → Add Limit instead. Our Screen Time guide has every path.

Why doesn’t it hold, and how do you fix that?

Because the code is yours. TikTok’s limit ends with a passcode you can enter, and Screen Time’s ends with a passcode you know. The rule is only as strong as the gap between setting it and wanting out, and the person who decides in that gap is you. The fix is a second person, not a stricter setting.

Have a partner set your Screen Time passcode under Manage Screen Time → Lock Screen Time Settings, so removing a limit means asking. Or lock TikTok in LockPact, where a partner approves each unlock and is told if you bypass it in Settings, which Apple always allows.

It’s free to use, with optional Support LockPact and Willpower Waivers ($1.99–$9.99), and it needs a partner with an iPhone. If blocking outright is too much and you want to cut back, read how to reduce your TikTok use. For the built-in methods side by side, see how to lock apps on iPhone.

How do you use TikTok’s own screen time limit?

TikTok’s help center describes a Daily screen time setting under Profile, the menu, Settings and privacy, then Screen time. You pick a preset or a custom limit for each day. When you reach it, TikTok notifies you, and you can close the app or enter the on-screen passcode to keep going. TikTok sets teen accounts to one hour by default.

  1. In TikTok, open your profile, tap the menu, then Settings and privacy.
  2. Tap Screen time, then Daily screen time.
  3. Choose a preset or a custom limit.

These steps follow TikTok’s help center, and TikTok’s menu names change, so check the labels in your app.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I block TikTok on iPhone?

On iOS 27, check which Screen Time category holds TikTok, set that category's Time Allowance or add it to a Screen Time Schedule, and block tiktok.com under Apps & Websites. A partner holding the passcode makes it harder to undo.

Does TikTok have its own screen time limit?

Yes. TikTok's help center describes Daily screen time under Settings and privacy, Screen time. When the limit is reached you can close the app or enter a passcode to keep going. You set the passcode, so you can undo it.

Can I block TikTok so I can not undo it myself?

Not completely. Have someone else hold your Screen Time passcode, or lock TikTok in LockPact, free to use, where a partner approves each unlock. Both make it a conversation, and neither is impossible to bypass.

Is there a difference between blocking TikTok and reducing it?

Yes. Blocking removes access until someone allows it. Reducing sets a budget and relies on you to stop. Our guide to reducing TikTok use covers the second approach.
